WHAT IS CONCIERGE MEDICINE?

Concierge medicine is becoming increasingly popular among physicians and medical professionals due to being able to provide personal health care without the costly and time consuming bureaucracy of insurance companies. Patients are billed directly through a membership plan with costs around $5 a day.

Through this type of membership program, we’re able to keep the practice small and provide highly accessible, personalized attention, and preventative care when you need it. You and your doctor can build a strong, satisfying relationship, which is key to keeping you healthy.

HOW DOES OUR PRIVATE MEDICAL PRACTICE DIFFER FROM THE AVERAGE DOCTOR’S OFFICE?

Immediately upon your first visit with us at Healthy Results you will see and feel the diffrence of our concierge practice. Our reception area is warm and inviting and our staff is friendly and welcoming. Your wait times will be very short and your visit with the doctor will not be rushed to ensure all of your health concerns and questions are addressed. Because the practice is limited to just a few hundred patients, we get to know our patients very well and can take extra time to achieve wellness. Our goal is to provide an experience like none other for you and your family.

WHAT DOES THE MEMBERSHIP PLAN INCLUDE?

Memberships cover all primary care services that we offer, including office visits, home and extended facility visits as necessary, hospital visits, minor office procedures, joint and trigger point injections, EKGs, diagnostic and wellness exams, phone calls, video conferencing and arrangement to see specialists with direct doctor to doctor communication.

The doctor will be available nights and weekends so you can reach him if needed via his personal phone/text/email.

With this type of membership you will enjoy the convenience of a personal doctor and you may even notice the need for reduced office visits or emergencies.

DO YOU SEE ME IF I’M IN THE HOSPITAL?

The doctor will make courtesy visits to hospitals that he is on staff. He will discuss your case daily with the hospitalist, review the plan of care, answer questions and make recommendations to ensure your stay is comfortable.

If you’re in a hospital that he is not on staff with he will communicate directly with the hospitalist on a daily basis. Hospitalists are assigned to you during admissions and the doctor will ensure your hospitalist is someone he has a relationship with. The doctor will act as your health care advocate and communicate with you and your family.

DO YOU MAKE HOME VISITS OR NURSING HOME VISITS?

Yes. The doctor will see patients in their home or nursing facility, rehab facility or ACLF in medically appropriate situations. The decision is made on a case–by–case basis.

WHAT IF I NEED A SPECIALIST?

Dr. Dameron’s extensive training as your primary care physician allows him to handle most of your needs. In the event that you do need a specialist, the doctor will find the right specialist for you and make sure you know who the specialist is. This referral process will include direct physician-to-physician consultation prior to your appointment with the specialist and direct coordination of your visit.

And after your appointment, if you have questions or concerns about your visit with your specialist, Dr. Dameron will address these issues at an office appointment or by phone, email or video conferencing.

WHAT IF I NEED URGENT CARE?

If you have a need that is not life threatening, you can contact us 24/7. The doctor can diagnose and treat you, in most cases, without a visit to the ER. Concierge medicine has been shown to reduce the number of ER visits for members due to being able to discuss your medical needs any time with your doctor.

If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately. A family member or caregiver can inform us afterwards to alert us of your situation so we can be in contact with the emergency room.

WHAT IF MY DOCTOR IS ON VACATION?

Even if the doctor is out of town, he will still be available via phone/text/email for your urgent needs. At Healthy Results, you will never be ignored or feel alone. You will be notified via email prior to any leaves or vacations. In a case where the doctor will not be available, we will have a trusted medical professional available and on call.

DO YOU BILL INSURANCE PLANS?

No. With our membership platform, you only pay the membership fee and will NOT be charged for office visits or co-pays. This type of practice is designed to be unencumbered by the constraints and limitations of insurance plans.

CAN YOU SEE ME IF I HAVE MEDICARE OR HEALTH INSURANCE?

Of course! Our well designed health care model works wonderfully to handle the more complex medical issues and medication management mostly associated with older patients. With the ability to spend more time with our patients, we can manage chronic disease and optimized your health and wellness.

Medical insurance is necessary in the event of unforeseen catastrophes. However many people find that they can lower the total cost of medical care by combining a high-deductible health insurance plan with a membership based practice, therefore making private medicine affordable and convenient. Your medical insurance will pay for lab tests, mammograms, x-rays, durable medical equipment (DME), and specialists. Your membership fee will cover our services.

DO I STILL NEED TO HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE?

Yes. Our medical practice and membership program is NOT a health insurance plan. It is very important to maintain insurance and/or Medicare to cover expensive, unpredictable events such as surgery, hospitalization or emergency room visits, labs and x-rays. Our membership is for everyday preventative primary care!

With the current insurance based healthcare system primary care is MORE expensive, difficult, and less effective. A concierge practice does the opposite. By charging a set membership fee, the doctor can spend more time with you and focus on your individual health needs. You can see the doctor has often as you need too!

HOW MUCH IS THE MEMBERSHIP FEE?

The fee may be paid annually, semi-annually, quarterly or monthly (with a first 3 month minimum deposit). The best part is, there are never any co-pays or deductibles to be met.

CAN JOINING HEALTHY RESULTS ACTUALLY SAVE ME MONEY?

Very likely! As a primary care practice, w can handle the vast majority of your health care needs.

Studies show that the concierge model of care reduces the need for unnecessary medications, more expensive testing and unnecessary referral to specialists. It is more likely to prevent unnecessary emergency room visits and hospitalizations. This results in saving you money and providing you better care.

WILL I STILL BENEFIT FROM BEING A MEMBER EVEN IF I DON’T EXPECT TO NEED FREQUENT MEDICAL ATTENTION?

Most definitely. Most people treat illness when it happens rather than identifying and preventing disease before it starts. Our focus at Healthy Results is to see you before you become ill, and to concentrate on your long-term health and wellness. With personal attention and longer office visits, the doctor can get to know you, your lifestyle, and what could be affecting your health. Together we can create a personalized plan to achieve optimal health. With diagnostic tests we can identify risk factors and health issues before they cause problems.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY PATIENTS CAN JOIN HEALTHY RESULTS MD?

Yes. One of the desirable features of concierge medicine is limited the practice size to devote more time to each patient, therefore once we have reached our ideal practice size, a waiting list will be established.

WHAT IF I WANT TO END MY MEMBERSHIP?

You are welcome to cancel your membership at any time as long as you give us 30 days notice. We will refund memberships paid for the full year at a prorated rate.
